About Dr. Lucy Maria Smith Dr. Smith is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND). She graduated in 1990 from Bastyr University, a four-year postgraduate naturopathic school. She has a BS in General Science from Oregon State University. Dr. Smith did two years of residency at the Bastyr teaching clinic and another 6 years as an associate professor of clinical medicine, teaching classes and supervising students in the teaching clinic. In 1998 she opened Maple Leaf Naturopathy to focus exclusively on private practice. Dr. Smith has a kind and caring manner that she brings to each visit. She tries to model the good health habits that she encourages for her patients. Dr. Smith believes in the healing power of Nature, and takes time to enjoy her connection with the natural world on a regular basis, whether hiking in the woods or trying to grow tomatoes at her shady Lake Forest Park home. |
